The primary objective of this course is to familiarize architecture students with sustainability issues at the architectural and urban planning scale and to provide practical knowledge that will help them apply the theories to practical architectural and urban planning tasks.
In addition to the issues of livability and sustainability, the subject will address the holistic issues of climate change, possible strategies for managing it and how it is reshaping our perception of cities and the built environment.
The subject will include guest speakers from various experts in the field. In addition to the theoretical lectures, a practical assignment will be carried out during the semester to demonstrate the practical application of the knowledge presented in the lectures.
